I really can't describe it in any terms other than the tone on it is ...just pure....you must hear for youself! Sound Rating 10 Setup replaced deering head with the 5 star head, though the head was loose when rec'd it (from shippnig?) Setup Rating 5 Appearance a nice banjo..very nice. no filler around inlay work what so ever. very clean. Banjo very attractive, not busy with lots of art work, but very elegant Appearance Rating 9 Reliability very solid banjo Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service limited lifetime warranty. People at deering seem very pleasant to deal with. Had rec'd 1st banjo..had a couple of blemishes sp? Deering replaced banjo with a new one. over very pleased. Customer Service 9 Components the new tuners are fantastik, easy to tune. (I'm a Deering employee) It was introduced at NAMM a few months ago. It's beyond belief. It is one of the few banjos I have ever had my hands on that delivers this level of sound and feel. It's absolutley beyond belief! Sound Rating 10 Setup Set up was standard. I always resetup my banjos anyhow. I can't wait to set mine up once it has been created. If the prototype sounded this good I can't wait to set mine up to my specs. Setup Rating 10 Appearance Gorgeous. And finally Deering has thrown some fancy inlays onto their banjos (Golden Era the exception). This banjo looks as great as it sounds. Appearance Rating 10 Reliability Just the ptototype but it is a Deering so I won't have to worry. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service Customer Service not rated Components It's all Good. Components Rating 10 Overall Comments Find a store that has them and play one. Then save your checkles. Trust me on this.
