Dr. Banjo, Pete Wernick, donated a piece of Bluegrass history to a fundraiser that I am associated with. He gave us a band photo of the group Hot Rize from their heyday, and it is signed by all members of the band, including the late great Charles Sawtelle. There has been some discussion in my group as to what value to assign to this great collectors item. Does anyone have any insight as to how much we should list as it's value? We are raising money for Fisher House Foundation, and I don't want to undervalue this very nice item. Any help would be appreciated.
And by the way; The Wednesday Night Garage Jammers are sponsoring a 12 hour Bluegrass Marathon, a Jamathon if you will, on February 25, 2012. It is to raise funds for Fisher House, an organization that provides housing for the families of military troops that are wounded or sick. The families can stay near the hospital and support their loved ones as they recover from their wounds. (It is like the Ronald McDonald House, but for our troops.) We are in the Baltimore, Maryland area and we will be jamming from 1200 noon until 1200 midnight. If you are anywhere nearby and want to have a lot of fun and support a great cause, or if you would like to donate, e-mail me at dbageant@yahoo.com.
