Daniel, I think that would be discriminating against arches. You got something against arches??

I suggest a compromise: we could call then archheads in a world of flattop banjos.

Ive learned to like "raised head" its not really a reverse flathead, the other side isnt flat either!

I like "raised head" for Ball Bearing tone rings, it distinguishes them from archtops but still describes the general shape of the head and the size of the vibrating surface.

An archtop guitar is really arched, an archtop banjos is not. So "raised head" would be better, but we are already so much used to "archtop"...

I still think Reverse Flathead is the way to go guys. It's definetly not arched and its not really raised either, but rather the sides are dropped down. Low Sider? smiley
