Any help appreciated in finding a teacher in the Bradenton/Sarasota FL area.  Will be there for a few weeks and would like to connect with a teacher to go over some technique.  Self taught and doing OK but want to have someone to review.

Right here on BHO, click on tabs and lessons then find a teacher - if that doesn't work, then I would phone the music stores in your area. Always good to do that anyhow for third party opinions once you have a name. Teachers come in all different shapes, sizes, and skill levels. I may even ask for references if a teacher has a student base to get the skinny if possible. Your own skill level may have some part in the selection too.

Get a hold of Jim Strickland, mrethnic@wmnf.org , he's a bit of a mover and shaker in the Old Time Music scene over in your neck. He might not be available for lessons but I reckon he could point you to someone who is.
