Janet, I really liked that! This question is about to show my ignorance (which is normally easy to spot anyway!!) - Do you use finger picks?

Derp, I meant to say "Josh" in my earlier post.

That's not to say that Travis doesn't deserve such praise, but I'd already complimented him in the early pages of the thread.  My most recent round of compliments was supposed to be aimed at Josh for his fine guitar picking.  Good stuff, Josh!

Thanks, Mark.  And no worries...I've been called far worse names than "Travis."

Like "Doug," for example.

Yes, Travis, I use 3 picks--2 metal finger picks and one plastic thumb pick.

Hi there... on the audio file I was playing a Lo Gordon / Cedar Mountain D banjo.

In the video version I'm playing a Will Fielding-made whyte laydie with stunning inlays from Glenn Carson.

Thanks for the info. Nice sound but also have to credit you with playing ability. I think it was Jerry Reed when asked if his guitar made it sound so good. He replied the guitar just sitting there doesn't sound that great to me.
