Is their a particular bridge and or bridges that are known to be more suitable for a long neck banjo? Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

Not really.   People tend to use whatever works for them.

But a few folks who like to play 'em way up the neck uncapoed prefer to use compensated bridges of one sort or another as a really long scale like that is usually more sensitive to intonation problems than is a shorter scale.

I use a Moon 5/8" arched-top bridge on my long-necked Ode, and it works just fine.

I've got a Nerdgoggles bridge by Xnavyguy (A BHO member), for no other reason than it arrived about the time I was finishing putting my banjo together.

The longnecks dial-in just the same as a shortneck, I've always used standard bridges on my longnecks. Mediums or lights, also, choice.

That's very funky looking. Pete Seegar used this on his longneck? Have never seen a bridge like this. Does it have a name?

I don't know of anyplace to buy them, but there are directions/plans to make them out there somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Edit: Found it....   http://banjobridge.com/stu.htm

Rats... that's not the link I thought it was. I'll keep looking for the actual plans.
