Hi Dave,

I listened to your sound files and looked at a few of your tabs here. I like the arrangements, and also like that your book apparently includes the lyrics. So  I followed your link and tried to order, but when I'm taken to the site where my credit card info is collected, I'm sent in an endless circle. I'm filling out all of the fields as required, but when taken back to the 'my cart' screen it then displays cart shipping and billing as incomplete. So then I'll click 'check out' again and am taken in the same endless circle. I've tried several times now and I give up.  Isn't there an easier way? I can do PayPal if you have an account. 

BTW... it's too bad that your order page couldn't show a sample page from the book, so people could see how it's arranged/formatted.

Hmmmm.  That's not very good!!  The book has only gone on sale today so i will email the printers and ask them to investigate.  In the meantime, I have ordered a stock for myself and I will set up a PAYPAL option on my webpage www.clawhammerbanjo.co.uk just as soon as the stock arrives.  I will also put up a sample page on the website.  It should also be available soon on amazon.com where you will get the option to "look inside".  Sorry for the problems folks!

OK, well that time it went through. I did change my billing name from chris to christopher. I think it's a clunky checkout to use.....the cycling back is probably telling you you dont have something "just right" and need to fix it, but it doesnt tell you what to fix. my order is in!

When are the books being posted out as I ordered one 10 days ago off lulu and still havnt received it?

The books are being posted out as soon as each order is placed.  I had an email from a UK customer who received his order within 2 days of purchase so I reckon they must be printed in the U.K.  My advice would be to email lulu.com and query your order.

Thanks for your post and links. Led me on a search for more information on a tune featured in a past BNL column. Always good to be able to 'update' background information/history (in this case, the name) of an old tune. Also, great tabs and fine sound file examples.

I was looking forward to getting mine but Lulu customer services stink. No book after over 2 weeks and they don't even respond to my e-mails. They havnt even responded to paypal.

I believe Lulu is a print on demand company.  In my experience it can take 2-3 or even 4 weeks for a book to get in the customers hands. I think you'll get your book but it might take a week or two longer. Many publishers and especially print on demand publishers are terrible at direct customer relations. I wouldn't personally order from them but rather from a bookstore whether brick & mortar or online.

I wish it was available in digital format...

Paypal have ruled in my favour as lulu didn't respond to their mails as to why they havnt sent me the book, and have paid me my money back.
I'll try amazon for the book, I won't be ordering anything off Lulu again.

Thanks for ordering the book. For the record, both Lulu and Amazon are print on demand. It is unfortunate that you have had a bad experience with Lulu because my students have received copies from Lulu by return of post.
