I'm still in touch with most of my exes. Went out to dinner with one around Christmas. Got an email from him about a week ago asking if I'd be a job reference for a job he was applying for here in the DC area. I know very little about his work experience, so I'm not sure what good I'll do as a reference, but I gave him my information. |

Last time an x tried to contact me (phone, about 12 years ago) I said sorry wrong number, and hung up. |

I don't have any desire to stay in touch with them.

I saw my last x's name in the newspaper for theft and insurance fraud. Nice going. |

Strange, my first exe's name was in the paper for illegally filling in wetlands at a campground she owned.

Yup. Bad to the bone. She bought the campground after leaving town for defrauding homeowners who bought into a trailer park she and her boyfriend developed.

That's big time. Mine just moved in with a guy, waited till he was at work, then cleaned out his apartment... all the while, still using her military dependent health insurance card... that was canceled when she divorced me. Naughty naughty girls.... |

None of my exes are all that interesting. One of them is a minister and is married to the younger sister of a good friend of mine. They had a baby just over a year ago who has had some serious health problems but she seems to be doing better recently. One of them joined the army five or six years ago because he's a lost soul and doesn't really need to make decisions about the future if he's in the army. The one who was always telling me I was only dating him for his money is down in Florida somewhere making less money than I do. Him I don't really keep in touch with.
Well, then there's the one who is married but I reconnected with a couple of years ago and he pretty promptly told me he and his wife have an open relationship and are always looking for a third partner. He lives in Las Vegas.
None of these are ex-husbands. Just ex-boyfriends. If I had an ex-husband I might be more bitter about things. I don't know.
I do have a couple of ex-roommates I never want to see again. Ever. |

I couldn't even remember the names of all my x-room mates. Or girls friends for that matter. Yikes... I don't know some of them old brain cells were still working... |

One of the advantages to being a social pariah is that you don't need to remember as many names. Plus half the guys I've dated were named David. |

Being an old drunk makes all that stuff rather hazy. Man we had some good times. |

Agreed, I was pretty on the edge for a while there and would be afraid I wouldn't make it on a do-over.

I bought one of our city's guard rails. That was my sentence! I still smile a little every time I drive past it. |

I have some guard rails that I bought, too!! This was in my younger, MUCH wilder days. Even *thinking* about half the crap I did back in the day makes me feel hung over.....In some ways, it's nice to get old!! |

I agree... we still play at local bars... it's SO COOL to be on the "other side" now. Sometimes it hurts to watch... |

I can't believe I actually played as messed up as I did back in the day. Probably didn't sound half as good to the audiences as it did to me.

I was lucky enough that my bride didn't turn into my X and she put up with me through the "Hazy" years. I had fun, but I'm proud that I lived through it and wouldn't want to try again.

It's not too late, you could go to a bar, get drunk, dance on the table nekid, take several guys home (or simply out to the car), throw up all over the place, and create some lasting memories that you don't remember too. |

while you're at it, get a jug of whisky and take your boat up the river 10 or 15 miles and set up a wine camp and stagger around a campfire for the weekend, don't forget to bring a gun to shoot sumthin' to eat
