Armed with my son, Country Frank, next to me and Banjobloke in the row in front, there we were. Place was packed and a good time was had by all. Having two banjo players worked very well and although everybody was good, the fiddle player was just superb.

I was there and saw Pete Stanley and Tony Furtado in the crowd as well. They did put on a great show and the fiddle player was excellent.

Saw the show a couple weeks ago in Los Angeles. Excellent time and I have to say that Steve Martin is a terrific showman. I think he's a great ambassador for those who aren't bluegrass fans.

And I agree, the fiddle player was amazing.

Who was the warm up act in London? In LA, it was Abigail Washburn with special guest, Bela Fleck.

Mary Black was the warm up act.

I thought Steve was excellent and I was amazed by the Steep Canyon Rangers (who had taken time out from ranging steep canyons).

I saw him when he came to Boston, and of all days on my birthday! I've been a fan of the Steep Canyon Rangers for a while and to see them with Steve giving witty talks between songs was great! The only problem I had with it was it was over far too soon! I could've listen to them play all night. What Steve is doing is really a great twist on a Bluegrass tour.

Really enjoyed the London show. I was more than impressed by Steve's playing. Loved it when he picked up the speed at the end of a couple of numbers - I didn't know he was that good - I think on he album he hands stuff like that over to people like Tony Triscka

I see on his website you can get the songbook tabbed by Tony. I like playing along to the CD, but can't work it all out cos of various banjos intertwinning, so I hope the book will be fun !

I thought the Steep Canyon Rangers were awesome all round especially the close harmony acapella stuff, and well the fiddle player..............wow

Mary Black has a lovely voice, but I thought she was let down by very mediocre material that didn't really know wht it was supposed to be, and it was a shame they didn't do Calico train together

It was indeed a good night, plenty of hangout members there, really nice to meet banjobloke, perhaps we'll pick sometime.

The fiddle player was definitely my top tip, one word, awesome.
