I'm beginning to wonder? I am sure I saw, inspected, lifted, lusted after, etc. a black graphite banjo case at the Cedar Creek/KatzEye booth at this years IBMA vendor hall. I talked to the rep and he stated this was a new line being introduced. The one on display was sold. Heres the problem I can't find a listing anywhere for this case. Man it was beautiful, light, and reasonably priced. Was I dreaming of did anyone else se this there. If so where can I get one? apparently Cedar Creek has not added it to the line yet.

Yeah, I saw them, and was ready to buy one. But the ones they had were sold in the first couple of hours. I spoke to the sales guy when I got home. They are so new that they aren't even on the web site yet--- but the guitar ones are. They're real. I saw them too...

Thanks alprice, at least I am not as crazy as I was beginning to think I was. I can't remember what the price was except that it seemed very reasonable for a caes like that, and that was a Cedar Creek Case, right.
Thanks for the reply.

I also looked at this case and it was described to me by the cedar creek rep as a carbon fiber-molded mix I think. Terry Baucom has one of these that is a model above the one at IBMA acoording to the rep and Jerry Douglas and Travis Tritt were waiting on one of the upgrade models. He quoted a show price of $350.00 on the one I looked at.

Thanks Gerald, $350 show price sounds right. I just looked at so much "stuff" I was having trouble remembering. But I really want one of those cases (if they don't go up too much above the"show price". I guess we will see if they ever get them on the market.

actually goldtopia these cases should be relatively light when you consider the weight of a normal flight case. carbon fiber is extremely light weight and looks great. I would think this would be comparable to the lighter weight fiberglass cases. cant wait to see them for sell.

These are very light especially when compared with say a calton. They do look very good.

I think Bill was making a Graphite/Granite joke.

According to Dennis Reamy at Cedar Creek the cases will be ready to ship in abut 1-2 weeks. The Show price ($350) is still good for right now.

I saw the "prototype" at Merlefest this year. The outside looked great, but I was sort of disappointed with the interior padding. Maybe it has been improved since earlier this year? I hope so, it did look like a nice case till I opened the lid.
