About Me,
I am known by my friends and fellow pickers as The Banjo Guru. A nickname given to me by my life long friend Mr. Paul Priest. I own my own music studio where I am a full time music instructor teaching guitar, banjo and mandolin. I also play up-right bass and a little fiddle. I started playing guitar at the age of five and have been at it every since. Some of the bands I have played with over the years are, Sherle Williams band, 3 years, Reynolds Family Bluegrass Band, 13 years, Hickory Hollow Band, 5 years. I also worked as a studio musician for 3 years with Alpha Recording and have recorded with The Revelators Gospel Quartet and The Valley Creek Boys. Some of the people in bluegrass I have had the honor of being headlined with are, Dr.Ralph Stanley,Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, Jim and Jesse, Bill Harrell and the Virginians, Charlie Sizemore, Michael Cleveland, Jimmy Martin, Doyle Lawson and many more. Music has always been a big part of my life and I now feel I am doing what God has wanted me to do all along, keeping old time music alive and well
