More About Me
The short version: 52 years musical experience, M.A. in Education, nationally-published banjo author, played bass on Grand Ole Opry Road Tour, played guitar with Bo Diddley. I have taught seven-year olds and pros in Nashville.
Whether you are a beginner or an old pro, I can can help you be a better player. Unlike most teachers who merely teach "tunes" (because that's the way they were taught), I include a healthy amount of common-sense music theory to help you reach the point where you're figuring out songs on your own. My goal is to equip you for a time when you don't need to take lessons! Whether you wish to start a schedule of weekly lessons or a few two-hour intensive sessions, you'll find it's time well-spent.
