More About Me

I have been teaching Guitar since high school. I have been teaching Mandolin and Clawhammer since the mid 90's . I have a degree in Music from The University of Massachusetts, and a Masters in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. I have Also studied "summer" program" at The Berklee College of Music.
I have been performing as a solo act, Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin on and off in the New England area since the mid 70's. I teach mostly clawhammer , technique but I also teach beginner Bluegrass technique. I teach guitar on all levels with emphasis on "finger style" as well as Bluegrass and "oldtime" backup. My teaching emphasis is geared toward performance and focusing in on the needs of each individual student. I teach music theory and history (related to the instrument ) if requested . I hold honors and awards that recognize my outstanding and innovative teaching methods.
