Question about a Recorded Group Workshop

So here it is:

I bought and downloaded the following recorded group workshop:

Fred Sokolow - "Fretboard Roadmaps for Banjo"
Recorded March 5, 2011 | Length: 1.5 hours+

The downloaded FLV file is only 58 minutes, however, and it appears to cut off right in the middle of Fred speaking. If there is another 30 minutes, I'd be interested in seeing it. Or is that even possible? If an hour is in fact the actual length, then maybe the advertised length should be changed. I wonder if someone else saw it and recorded it and can tell me the the actual length....

So far I've been able to add photos to my albums, but I haven't found a way to put images in my blog entries: all I get is a pop up box that asks me for a url. I'm starting to feel very incompetent. What am I doing wrong?

Sometimes I will go back to a topic where I left a post a while earlier - like an hour or two, and I will see the earlier posts on the topic but not the ones I left. Any ideas??

A question about group workshops

I haven't participated in a group workshop before. When you pay the fee to take part, do you get an archived copy or link of the workshop to refer back to and study after it is over, or is it a one time - one view type of event?

Can't Upload mp3 audio clips

I can't get any mp3 clips to my homepage. When I try to download the file, my computer either keeps trying to connect with the BHO storage site, or if it connects and says its downloading...it just keeps trying to download with nothing happening. The files are around 800KB.

Any suggestions re settings etc etc????

explorer, chrome, and the chatroom

I have been visiting the chatroom a week or so and started using explorer with no problems. When I have recently started using google Chrome a save box comes up with banjohangout as the save file. when I click to save, it saves as a JNLP file. This must be done each time I want to enter and a new banjohangout file is asked to be saved. Any suggestions?

Old Ad still showing up on banjobuyer.com

I have some old ads that I placed on BHO, then later hid, when the items was no longer available. But, it is still listed on banjobuyer.com and I seem to have no way that I know of to delete it there.

I have received a few inquiries about this left-handed banjo, and that ad hasn't been active on BHO for over a year yet it still shows up on banjobuyer.com.

What is odd is I cannot find the banjo from visiting the home page, yet the listing is still there. Maybe folks are finding it through google?

I posted a picture of a flange trademark the other day. i did not post 6 of the same photo, but somehow the Hangout software multiplied the image . This is not the only one. I have multiple images of many of the pictures I have posted. I've tried to delete some of them and they often do not delete. Eric, can you fix this?

Jukebox directly to IPhone or IPad2?

I have figured out how to download from the BHO to my hard drive then Wi-Fi those songs to my IPhone (through the Amazing Slowdowner) - I have not been able to Wi-Fi to my IPad2 for some reason.

But, I have not been able to listen to the Juke Box directly from BHO on my IPhone. I read some threads where it is said that Apple and Flash Player are not compatible ... I guess they don't talk to each other very much. Is there a way to get around this problem other than the downloads I mentioned above? I would like to listen to the Juke Box from BHO directly on my IPhone. Thanks for any comments. Phil

I have a group and want to link a bunch of videos and audios to it but there are no apparent instructions for doing so. I'm a technophlop and can barely read my email without assistance so what I could use are some step by step processes. Help!

Autopager rule for Firefox

Hi,

I want to create an Autopager rule for Firefox so that it automagically scrolls to the next forum page.

Since I've never created a rule from scratch, I think that it would be easier if I copied a similar rule and tweaked it for the Hangout.

Can anyone tell me what software is used for the Forums? I should be able to search the Autopager repository for existing rules for that software.

Hi Eric

Recently I have noticed after posting a message there is a short delay before I am redirected back to the topic on the forum. During that short delay I am presented with a 'refresh page' which display's a number of links to other websites some of which are not banjo related. I noticed this evening one was advertising a link to the ROYAL NAVY. Not what I would expect on a website hosted in the USA but as I live in the UK it wouldn't necessarily be out of place if you are receiving revenue from it and you have authorized it.

It did however occur to me that the page may have been hacked and the script changed by a webbot (web robot).. I know when I have created form mail pages for my websites in the past my websites were frequently hit by webbot attacks.

Back then I was inundated with emails and I had to set traps in the scripts to block non human posts...

Forums Page Not Resetting

Before the server change I could read through a given topic, click on my "back" button, and the active topics page would reset to the same location I'd come from. Now it always resets to the top of the active topics list and I have to scroll down and search through all the topics to locate where I'd been before.

Time-consuming and a bit frustrating as well.

Does a solution exist?

Do I have to go in each day and check the box that says I have read the rules or can i check that box just at the start of each drawing?

Just wanted to make sure. When I check the box and tell it to make that changes it says they are made but that box is unchecked right after?

Every time I go from site to site on BH, a form appears at the top of the page. It says,

"Are you sure you want to send a form again?

To reopen this page Safari must resend a form. This may result in duplicate purchases, comments, or other actions

Cancel Send"

I usually hit cancel and proceed ahead but I have had to do this hundreds of times. Is this a problem with BH and other sites or something weird going on with my Mac? I never sent a form in the first place so why is this coming up endless like some Twilight Zone Horror film?? HELP! Banjered

Hi,

I would like to download some MP3s but can't figure out how. If I click on download, it plays the MP3 but how do I get it copied on to my computer? I am sure I have done this in the past but either I forgot how, or what I did before no longer works.

I practice with the backing tracks and it was pretty traumatic for me when BHO was down. Also, sometimes my internet is down. I need to get those MP3s!

Mac related problem in chatroom

I recently started getting into using the chatroom and attending workshops. I was informed that for some reason Mac users have to uninstall Adobe Flash in order to have their web cams send video. No Flash player = no YouTube/Sound Off vids Just wondering if there's another option or a reason why it is that way. Any plans of a solution?

I get all kinds of info concerning topics visited & unvisited on my home email and it is overloading it. Need to correct this as I use my computer for work purposes also and a lot of my work related messages are blocked due to the excess of these messages. Please correct this condition as I have been told by reliable sources that I am computer illiterate.

Unable to change profile picture

Hello everybody.

I am currently experiencing an issue when trying to upload a more recent picture to my member profile. While I could easily delete the old photo, upon clicking on the «Post a Profile Photo» link in my profile edit page the screen becomes shaded (similar to what happens when the applet for a picture frame is expected to take over the page) yet nothing happens.

I also tried to view pictures either from forum or classifieds pages, and that works alright: the page hazes as usual while the picture browsing applet takes over in seconds. The 'Esc' key allows going back to the normal page.

My profile is now without a picture despite several attempts made by logging out, rebooting and logging in again.

Minutes ago I also updated the Java Runtime Environment plugin on my PC and tried again but at no avail. I never experienced such an anomaly, be it here or elsewhere. Whether there's something wrong within my otherwise flawless system or something on BHO may be out of kilter, I don't know. I simply can't work it out. I am begging for help.

I just realized that anyone browsing the BHO can see my photos and listen to my soundfiles.

It must be relatively easy to have these limited to logged in members only. Just ticking or un ticking a box.

I'd like to see that bit of privacy added.

Unable to download PDF for purchased Dueling Banjos

I purchased Dueling Banjos from this site today and all video lessons are working FINE. I cannot get the PDF tab link to do anything except highlight with the cursor.

Hi,

I have another banjo that I wanted to tell people about. I was able to upload ten photos into my album. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to show those photos in a new topic so that I can tell about the banjo.

I went to the link that tells how to do this and saw the following link.

It tells us to go to the photo, right click, and from properties copy the URL that shows there.

Then (quotet)

OK, OK, where is the yellow symbol? Where are the Image Tags? Where is the envelope? Where is the Hash Sign?

It also says that these are seen when replying to a topic. I want to do a new topic, not reply to a topic.

This process is daunting, to say the least.....but I mean that in a nice way.

Can someone help me out. When I find the secret, then I can tell about the banjo.

How can I give a member a rating for an ad that he has deleted? I cannot enter a rating unless I choose an ad, and the ad I purchased does not show up (I assume because he's deleted it, since I've received the item).

Hi all. I have received 2 emails that I did not open from Mike Gregory. The topics were about freight and something else, and not something that he would contact a stranger about. Has anyone else had this problem? I wasn't sure where to post this so I put it in a spot where the members and more importantly the moderators can see it. Subscription renewal problem

I've tried to renew my subscription through PayPal using my credit card several times but it never stops loading. After providing all of the information requested through several layers I finally get to the pay with debit or credit card screen, I've waited over 30 minutes several times for it to finish but I always have the same result. I thought maybe it was because of the busy holiday purchases but it's still doing the same thing today. I don't want to open a PayPal account. I don't need another account somewhere to take care off. Has anyone else had this problem?
