Word Game

Thought of this the other night: Rule: the word must break into parts, and each longer word must contain the fragments of previous words in order,like, for example

small

breaks in to three parts

-all

-mall

-small

from the smallest word to the largest, each previoius word is used in order.

How many can we get? And what is the longest one?

Simple enough......just add a line of the lyrics or title from any song to the previous line so it makes some sort of sense.............. Example "Since my baby left me"..............."I,m sitting on top of the world"...................".somewhere over the rainbow". Etc, etc. .. could be fun?

As requested, I'm creating the "movie quoting game". Essentially a person will quote a movie and the next person will name the movie the quote is from and give a new quote from a different movie. Keep in mind this is a bit of a work in progress and rules may be adjusted as time goes on. Have fun!!!

SCRABBLE, a variation on the word game, easily played, the posting of jumbled up letters, gamers must unscramble the presented set of jumbled up letters to find the hidden word set by the poster, *there actually could be a different word hidden and not noticed by the original poster,* the “word solver” then sets another jumbled up letter word, standard dictionary or 'Webster's new world dictionary' is useful or even an 'Electronic puzzle solver', if there are any players of the ‘REAL’ game then best to follow ‘Bowdlerize’ principles, in reference to the Official scrabble players dictionary, I mention this only by way of saying to keep this game in good standing, and to leave out any words considered improper or offensive, as a note, having words of say nine or more letters can be more difficult to solve,…however, lets us see how this game unfolds…please check your jumbled letters carefully,..its acceptable to place a clue/hint at the side of the 'jumbled up' letter word......

Rules

1. Abbreviated letters as similar are allowed such as MRSA this stands for "Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus"

2. There could be a different word or an abbreviation not noticed by the original poster. This other word or abbreviation is acceptable.

New "IS TO" game a variation on the ongoing word association game, simple enough,

could be little testing though, follow along in reply using a two line sentence see the two examples.

Rules: Double posting of the *same word* on the *same page* is *not allowed* all gamers are permitted to carry out punishments as necessary..

Game Descriptions/Rules

Below are the rules and descriptions of the Banjo Hangout’s most popular games.

A to Z Game:

Post a word relating to the current subject of the game going from A to Z. Whoever posts the word that starts with “Z” will start a new subject.

Answer a Question with a Question Game:

Answer the question that was asked before you with a question of your own.
One of the most mentally challenging games.

Film Title Game:

Each new film title must contain at least one of the words from the previous film title.
Players may use a "wild card" at any time by taking an actor/actress that was in the previous movie title, and posting another movie title that he/she starred in.

Four-Word Story Game:

Add four words per post to this never ending novel.

I Survived the 300 Post Game:

A fast game of posting without double posting for a prize. For ages 3+. No. of players: 2 to 200 (the more the better). Average game time is 1 to 3 days.
The object of the game is to have the most posts of a round.
The player who starts a round is the player that won the previous round and is in charge of supplying a new prize for the next round. He/she is also responsible for setting up the time that a round will take.
No double posting is allowed during a round. Double post = posting back-to-back to yourself without another players post between. If you are caught by the round moderator double posting, that post will not count and you must type “I will not double post” 500 times. Hint: use copy and paste.
The winner gets the prize and starts a new round.
However, due to the immense time needed to win, the game has not had a round in a long, long time. Hopefully some day enough people will be interested that the rounds will start again. Until then it will remain as Ace (Mr. Quimby) put it “a few die-hards stopping in and chatting and passing the time.”

Add a caption to the person’s avatar that posted above you. FYI, an “avatar” is the picture you see to the left of their post.

Song Title Game:

Each new song title must contain at least one of the words from the previous song title.

This or That Game:

Choose one of the two things in the post above you. Then think of two things and put them in your post.

Who Gets the First Word Game:

A fast paced easy game for ages 2+. No. of players: 1 to 500. Estimated game time is 30 seconds.
The player who posts the First Word is the winner of that round
Every new post is a new round
Everyone is a winner

Who Gets the Last Word Game:

A quick (or epic) game of wits. For dedicated, fearless Game Warriors ages 2+. No. of players: 1 to 500 (at least two for best results). Estimated game time: 2 days to 3 weeks depending upon no. of players.
The object of the game is to have the last post once the thread gets to around 50 pages and gets locked. That person is then the winner of that round.
Only one will be the true winner.
