<itunes:summary>A version I thought up this week before Christmas. I used two banjo tracks, one rhythm banjo and one lead, using a homemade mute. I like the staccato effect on the banjos. John Kuhn (aka the Kidd) added some bass, synth string sounds and a conga. You can tell how much I love flamenco guitar, and it somehow wound up influencing this, in my banjo version. This is a great song and i hope my version doesn't detract from it.</itunes:summary>

Add a bass banjo track with the tuning dropped 3 whole steps and you get a pretty nice sounding bass string, haha. This was a fun project .</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>This is the last of three recordings I made with my friend Tim Rowell at Clifftop 2011. The tune comes from Art Stamper, who learned it from his father. His father reportedly learned it from a Civil War veteran, who said that it was composed at the end of the war to commemorate one of the last engagements, in Pike County, Kentucky. So to borrow on of my mother&#39s favorite expressions, this tune is &#34old, old, old. Tim is playing clawhammer style, I am picking behind him in three-finger style.</itunes:summary>
