I always loved the sound of my ES Deluxe but this Special is even better. Not sure why but the sound is truly better. Best I have heard over the Scruggs Deluxe and Blackjack that I have. Action is perfect. Came 100% stock with Snuffy Smith 3rd Compensated bridge |

Neck action was perfect. Had to tighten the head. It is a 2001 model and was in never played/mint/like new condistion. Bridge was perfect. Charlie Cushman installed spikes in 2001 when original owner picked up. |

The most beautiful, fancy, awsome Gibson I have seen and I have other models. The engraving is incredible with abalone inlay and trim everywhere...even on the screws holding the resonator on! |

Truly an amazing playing/sounding/looking Scruggs! It had started getting a dull pantina over the bright gold but just a light wipe with a cloth brought all the luster back. Really cool. |
