Very nice banjo mute! I had been using "The Ultimate" banjo mute from Gold Tone and it muted the banjo a bit. But one day my wife opened the door to my practice room and said "You're sounding a lot better, much cleaner playing." She was being very nice, but I realized she could hear every note and it was time to look for something quieter.

Mike's mute was the answer, it is a lot quieter, making the banjo sound like a quiet steel-string acoustic guitar. The tone is much nicer too, a very sweet sound that many people have commented favorably on.

Mike's mute is also easier to put on and take off, without fear of moving the bridge.

If you live with others in a small house like I do, this mute will save your relationships, and the sound is so nice you will actually enjoy playing with it.
