Mike Stidd's banjo mute arrived yesterday. My wife is smiling and the dog is out from under the couch. Tried it on my Gibson-Alvarez resonator which ordinarily has the volume of a .50 cal machine gun and this morning my neighbor two houses down asked me if I'd given my banjo away. Simple to use. Muffles the sound but preserves enough tonal quality to keep my ear in touch with what my fingers are doing. Thanks, Mike! |
