Sound

I'm a novice player, but compared to the entry level Lero I had, this banjo sounds great! Very full rick tone and quite loud.

Setup

I had the local music store set it up, and I'm not sure what was done, but the action is good and its easy to play.

Appearance

This banjo is approximately 25 years old and bought from the original owner. The first thing I noticed was how solid it was.It is made in Japan and I understand that the quality was still quite good for this instrument.

Components

I have no experience with upper end banjos, but this seems like a real solid instrument to me--good quality tuning pegs, good wood etc No cracks or surface flaws of any kind

Overall Comments

For the price I paid, the equivalent new banjo would be an entry level Korean instrument...I believe that this is much better [ it makes my Lero seem like a toy]
