These strings are great!!! By far the best strings i've ever used-they sound great and last for what seems to be forever-i've been playing with my keith tuners a lot lately, stretching the 2nd and 3rd strings a lot and have yet to break one. Only unfortunate thing is no one around carries them so I have to order them online......Janet Davis is great though.......

Great, solid, capo! It doesn't throw the banjo out of tune nearly as bad as my old kyser did(it has a screw at the bottom to adjust tension, while the Kyser is not adjustable) and is also much less obtrusive. It kind of combines the great features of Paige and Shubb capos in that it can store behind the nut like a Paige and can go past the 4th/5th fret like a Shubb. On Janet Davis' website it says that it "is used by professional pickers"-whether this is true or not I haven't any idea but it is definetly a pro-grade capo. While it costs more than a Shubb or Paige, it also costs significantly less than many other capos and does a fine job. I highly reccomend it to all looking for a decent capo.

Sound

Great begginer banjo-however the 4th string kind of ate away a little at the bridge, so now the fourth string buzzes a bit. Great for the money though!

Setup

The music store set it up, all I had to do was tune it. Replace the factory bridge, though! the 4th string was slipping out of the groove- a real pain in the rear- replaced it with a 5$ grover- works great.

Great traveling banjo or starter-comfortable action on fretboard and not-to-terrible appearance.
