Sound

I play bluegrass with my Janish.I like it a lot, very satisfied.Have had many compliments on its looks and sound.Workmanship is very good. This brand is virtually unheard of in the U.S. It was made in the Czech Republic in April of '98.Please email me if you'd like the website for Janish musical instruments.

Setup

This banjo is a Gibson copy.It was well setup, though I did have to tighten the head, but it traveled halfway across the world,I rather expected that.

Components

Only problem I had was the 5th string nut was not quite deep enough, just needed filed down a slight bit to keep the string from popping out when I picked it really hard.
