Sound
|
Big, bright bluegrass sound. Played both a used RB-250 and RB-3 standard and this blows them away for less than half the price. |

Setup
|
Dave at Turtle Hill threw in a new Scorpion bridge and I installed new GHS JDC's and the thing really cranks. |

Appearance
|
Beautiful wood finish. Some rough spots in the metal finish before it was plated. Looks like a classic pre-war instrument. |

Tuners were pretty weak. This banjo is #030030 so it is a part of the second batch of production models. I've upgraded to 5-Stars already have ordered a custom pearl truss rod cover. I can't imagine having to do anything else to it but routine TLC..... |

Overall Comments

Only reason this isn't a ten is that it's not one of the 12 Granada's like Mr. Scuggs. It's just a fantastic instrument.... especially for the money. |
