Let me say this now, before I even start the review, I have owned four different hardshell/flight banjo cases. I had set the "gold" standard as the Calton Deluxe hardshell banjo case. No more! The new Gary Price Streamline Banjo Case is THE BEST IMHO!!! I ordered this hardshell/flight case on the recommendation of Mark Bramlett of Banjo.com, and can honestly say that it was and IS a great recommendation!

The quality, materials, and construction of this case IS first rate! First, you notice the slimmer profile of the case. The next thing you'll notice is the quality of materials...the latches (similar to those used on a Calton, and others)...no cheapness here! The exterior finish that I chose was the "bone" finish a very nice (cream) colored semi-matte finish. Unlatching the case you'll notice the snug fit of the lid, the tightness of the hinges, and the plushness of the velour interior (I chose the green interior). The next point of interest is the larger storage space. GREAT! The fit of my prized "parts" pre-war Gibson fit right and snug in the case, no room for movement thanks to the padding around the resonator, the padding at the heel (critical in rough conditions), and the padding around the peghead. The peghead looks as if it might not fit the space provided for the headstock. Well that's deceiving...the peghead pushes the padding away as the banjo is lowered in the case. Gary has placed a padded lip around the top of the peghead area to protect the headstock from rough jars and other calamities. There is adequate space in the lid as well as the banjo case is closed and latched.

If you have a "prized" banjo...this case has Gary's name on it...but you should own it! Thanks Gary and Mark for such great service!

I thought the tuners would take a longer period of time to get used to them turning in the same direction to de-tune. I was wrong, in a short period of time I have learned to work the tuners smoothly and efficiently. They sound great, and I can re-string without re-setting the tuners! The only thing I think I would change is the tuner pegs...I don't know if you can mount the grained ivoroid buttons...but I going to try! Great product and great price!!!

This was a gift from my mother for Christmas. I ordered directly from David, and I'll be one of many who say that their straps are first rate in EVERY detail. Just tell David what you want, and I'm sure that you will be satisfied with the results. He is a loyal supporter of the BHO, and gives us folks discounts on his straps! First Rate, and First Class!!!

Thanks David
