Just got this strap in this morning. The leather feels great & the craftsmanship looks to be top notch. I will be ordering another stap for my second banjo. You won't be disappointed with a Dogwood strap. |

I am really enjoying this new banjo. After I had it set up it really rings out. I still haven't put the new strings and bridge on yet, but I can't wait to hear it ! |

Setup

The banjo wasn't set up bad. The head was a little to tight. I also had the tailpiece raised up some. The strings/bridge are on the way out as well. |

Appearance

This seems to be a pretty slick banjo. The wood and finish all look pretty good. I see no real flaws in the hardware either. There is a slight bit of distance between the flange and the resonator right at the neck joint. Everyone I have shown it to loves it |

Reliability

I haven't had it that long, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. Tuners seem to be alright I suppose. Tail piece seems pretty cheap but alright for now. |

The stock bridge is pretty cheap, and the strings needed to be changed in my mind, but thats pretty much standard. |

I really like this gold star. It has plenty of volume and tone for my current skills. I would buy another one if I got rid of this one. If you can't find that mastertone money, save a few bucks and get one of these. |
