Sound
|
It's not bad. It sounds like a cheap instrument, but for $129 on sale it is just fine. I use it for my elementary music room banjo so I don't mind letting kids hold it and try it out. It would serve as a fine travel banjo though you will need to buy a case of some kind. I needed to change the strings and tighten the head but after a few days it has gotten a little better. I give it a three compared to a 5 for a Goodtime. It does have decent intonation now that the bridge is placed. |

Setup
|
Needed to set the bridge and tighten the head. One string broke while tuning it up so I just changed them right off. |

Would not gig with it, but it is a good "no worries" banjo. Travel, camping, school kids etc.... |

My favorite feature is the price. After that, I'm happy that it plays in tune. After that I'm glad I don't have to worry about it. All in all, I leave it at work and come home to play my Ramsey. But - it's great for $129! |
