Another winner from Bob Fults, who was extremely helpful and personally assisted me in choosing the right tailpiece. A super person to deal with. I can't believe how much one of these tailpieces can enhance the tone quality of a banjo. You just can't go wrong with anything Fults. |

Bought as a factory blem. Really cracks with proper setup. Good tone from bottom to top. I can't compare it to the big boys because that would be like my comparing my car to a Ferrari. I know they exist, I've seen one or two, but I'll never own or drive one. |

Setup
|
Changed strings, changed the bridge to a Snuffy-3. Adjusted the tailpiece. Tightened the head. The head needs to be TIGHT. Go carefully and you'll know when you get there. The tone will come alive. Coordinator rods were just about right as was the action. |

If you're a back porch picker like me, I don't believe you can go wrong with this banjo. It sounds good, looks good, plays well, and is priced for the workin man. I'd buy another in a minute. |
