This is a very nice capo - easy to use and beautiful craftsmanship. I paid $120 for the stainless steel which is a ton for a capo, but this thing is almost like a piece of jewelry. |

I have been using this as a buyer. If you don't select the premium service, it's a hassle to go through their payment process - plus you don't get phone support unless you select premium. The difference on a $3000 transaction was $95 for basic service, or $185 for premium. Even with premium service, they have no customer service other than something like 9-5 PST M-F. As an example, I asked them to add in some extra shipping charges to compensate the seller (difference was like $18.50 over what we agreed to). They wanted to charge an extra $5 for me to pay them with PayPal for the $18.50. They did waive the extra fee for me, but only because I whined and because they hadn't properly notified me of the additional fee before adjusting the transaction amount. If you want to pay with Credit Card (under premium service only) you have to make a copy of your credit card or other ID and fax it to them. I would much rather go through PayPal, especially if dealing with people selling through the Banjo Hangout classifieds. I probably don't have a good reason for trusting people at BH more than eBay, but for some reason I do. |

I wanted to pick one of these up for upcoming travel to Banjo Camp and JDM had a great sale on them. The case appears to be pretty near indestructable. I have mine open to air out a little as per the enclosed instructions to get rid of some of the adhesive smell.
The only think I would change is doing away with the key lock on each of the case closing clasps and replace with a small hasp for one of the TSA approved locks. I'm not sure that the locks that are built in to the clasps are TSA approved - I guess I'll find out! |

Sounds great to me - a nice, bright sound with good low end. |

The action seems a little high to me. I replaced the strings with a lighter gauge and plan on possibly adjusting the string action a bit. |

Everything looks pretty good. I replaced the armrest with a solid wood just as a personal preference. |

I think this was a great value and perfect to get me started playing again. It sounds good, holds tuning, and looks great. I do have my eye on a dream banjo down the line, but this will still be one I hold on to for awhile. |
