The 2008 Festival was the first major festival I had ever attended. First class acts and plenty of them. The new location was beautiful! It was just too darn hot the weekend of the festival, but the staff was well prepared: pleny of water and plenty of very clean portapotties. I appreciated that alcohol was not allowed, although there seemed to be plenty there! Excellent vendors and great food. Lots' of camping sites and a huge crowd; not crowded though, plenty of room. I can't wait to go back, but I'm going to be prepared with portable shade however! |

I own two of the Nechville bilevel wooden armrests. They are secure and very comforable, especially on bare skin. Beautiful wood and plenty of woods to choose from. I asked for one in a walnut tone to match my banjo and JDMC did a pretty good job choosing one for me. I think they are very handsome and really dress up the banjo. |

This is an excellent banjo mute! I read the review of Mike's Mute in the June 2008 Banjo Newsletter which was very favorable. First of all, it mutes the banjo! I hear a pleasant but soft, quiet sound. It definately would allow one to play in one room without disturbing anyone in the next room. It's certainly worth the $30. A quality article. You can find Mike's Mute in the BHO classifieds. |

It is a beautiful banjo. Light walnut satin finish. Bronze antique hardware; really unique, I've not seen this hardware on another model. I am a bit of a stickler and went over the banjo carefully; no defects at all that I can see. |

the finish and hardware all seem top shelf; I expect it will hold up very well. It has lots of heft to it! |

I dealt with Tom Andersen at Janet Davis Music Co. by phone. After checking out the banjo at their website, I gave a call and had excellent service and advice from Tom. Placing the order was easy and I received it promply in perfect condition and with no set up issues. I have used Janet Davis Music many times and have never had a problem. MM has a lifetime warranty and I registered the banjo at MM website. A serial number is printed on the back of the peghead. |

I upgraded to the suggested Snuffy Smith bridge and had 5th string capo spikes added. It came with a very nice hard case and some banjo tools were included; very handy! |

I did lots of comparison shopping and for the money, I think this is a superb banjo. I read many positive reviews on this model and company. I happened to get it on sale at Janet Davis, but I know Ross Nickerson at BanjoTeacher.com also carries this model at a great price. I think this is an excellent intermediate price range banjo and expect to use it for years! The appearence is the clincher with this model. You won't see many players with a more beautiful banjo. |
