I was fortunate enough to aquire a great old pot through the Banjo Hangout. John helped me date it to pre or early civil war. I then turned to John to make me a neck suitable to the circa. John helped me keep the original look while making some great sugesstions for modernizing. when I got the neck it was everything I had hoped for! I would recommend John to anyone! His work is both thoughtful and careful. John is a man that obviously LOVES his work and it shows!

Sound

this Banjo has a rich sound with great sustain. It has a Tubaphone tone ring and it looks to me like it's a brass one.

Setup

this banjo had bee professonaly set up prior to my purchase. It has required no adjustments so far however I might get the action lowered a little after I get to know her better.

Appearance

This is a mid 70's copy of a Tubaphone OB. It is very easy on the eyes with good use of MOP thought not overdone.
