Setup

Yes, the banjo was well set up when purchased, never played before. I changed the tailpiece and put a new head.
It sounds great. I have never played a Richelieu or Ome, but I would say that this is close to the sound that they produce. Very good quality banjo, from head to toe. |

This banjo has the simple headstock design, solid maple rim, multilayered neck. A heavy tone ring ( not typical in open backs). My guess is that at a previous life it was a resonator banjo |
