Sound

This sounds great in a jam or rehearsal. But when you get it on a mic it is a MONSTER

Appearance

Its mohogany with a straight grain maple neck. Its more of a brown than red. Distressed. It will fool alot of people into thinking it from the 1930s

Reliability

Also distressd hardware. It looks like an 80 year old banjo and its two months old.

There is nothing that I will ever change out for better parts. Everything is as good as they come.

Overall Comments

The great attribute of Yates banjos is that they are ALL consistently GREAT. I have yet to hear or play one that I wouldn't love to have. That's the only maker that I can say that for.
