DO NOT GIVE THIS CROOK AND SORRY EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESSMAN YOUR MONEY!!! Robert Fisher / Saint Fishy's Music Stand has held $1122 of mine for two months now on the order of 2 banjos which he has NOT been able to deliver. Robert told me that he had the flu, blamed the delay on loosing his sales rep, today told me of a cancelled credit card on file with his supplier and then stated that he even "forgot" about my order two months into my wait! (all detailed in email messages that my lawyer will be receiving this week). At the beginning of last week, I was told that my banjos would be in hand at the end of the week...nothing arrived. On Friday of last week I was told that he would post a check to cover the refund...today (Monday) I have been told that the check was not posted and that my problem would be handled on Robert's time schedule, not mine. I've been hung up on twice while on the phone and now, the business will not take my phone calls. Mr. Fisher has NOT worked to fix my problem despite what his claims to customer service may be. Robert is at the very least a BAD businessman and at worst...a crook. I paid Mr Fishers invoice immediately and without question upon receipt....where is the honesty and transparency of an honest business Mr. Fisher? Saint Fishy's music stand is FAR more fishy than anything else. I have recently discovered the following...After having been hung up on yesterday by Mr. Fisher, I called SAGA MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CO. to inquire about my order (My original order was for FOUR instruments at @ $2250). Saga told me that there was an order from Saint Fishy's to be directly delivered to me for TWO banjos but that the remaining 2 on the order had never been authorized by Robert Fisher and Saint Fishy's (meaning Robert never PAID Saga for the remaining two instruments but used MY money for other purposes). I have also been told that Saga has HAD THESE INSTRUMENTS IN STOCK, READY TO DELIVER SINCE MY INITIAL ORDER ON FEB 20th!!!...it is now April 30!. Robert Fisher has blown smoke up my you know what over the non delivery of these items and has yet to come clean and be honest about his dealings with me or to treat me as a good PAYING customer. I am no having to file suit against Saint Fishy's Music Stand to recoup MY dollars given to him in good faith. |

Ordered an ABS pickup to be delivered to my hotel while on holiday from UK in Florida. Only had a few days for order to be delivered before my return home and was unsure if it would arrive in time so I made contact with them before placing. Ross and Kathy were extremely helpful in advising and arranging a prompt delivery of my order. Placed Saturday morning, arrived Monday morning. Great, personable service and a pleasure to deal with. Do not hesitate to buy from these guys.

recently purchased a Bishline Rosemary custom from Capos music.The banjo is amazing and the service was second to none.Gill the owner answered all Email questions within a hour.I was concerned about packaging he made sure it would arrive fine.they lined top of banjo with bubble wrapinside of case and packed case in box with bubble wrap and other items.it arrived very fast and in perfect condition I think you could have thrown it from a building and it would have been fine.GREAT new shop opened in 2009 awsome staff.many instruments and parts Highly Recommend this store check them out online.

Let me start out by saying that I am a total rank beginner. I have played many other instruments but not the banjo. I am also retired and on a fixed income. Once I decided that I was going to buy a banjo, I researched the different brands for almost 3 months. I decided that the most innovative and best sounding to my ear, were the Nechville banjoes. However, the price was pretty steep for someone just starting out. Just for researching purposes, yesterday I decided to take a trip to the Nechville shop and talk with them about what I could possibly do and also to see if maybe they had anything used that I could fit into my budget. I was a little worried that being such a newbie and with not a lot of money in my pocket I might be laughed out of the store. Amazingly, just the opposite happened. I was treated as if I was looking to buy the most expensive banjo they ever made. My wife and I spoke first with Jeremiah who explained all the ins and outs of the Nechville line and demonstrated quite a few models for us to determine the sound that I was looking for. Then we were treated to a tour of the actual shop area where they actually make the Nechville line. We were shown step by step how each piece is made and told how that piece fit into the overall making of the instrument and its purpose. Then we began discussing how I could ever possibly afford one of their beautiful banjoes. It was at this point that Jeremiah called Tom on his cell phone as he was not currently in the building. They talked for a while and he explained to Tom my predicament. Jeremiah then came back to me and asked if we could afford a certain figure. After talking it over with my wife, (read begging), we agreed and Jeremiah told us that they would build me a custom built banjo. I even got to pick the parts and type of head, the neck and all the other options. I gave them half down and Tom, who was back in the shop, and Jeremiah said they would have it setup and ready to go on Monday. I walked out of there on cloud nine. Not only had I learned more about the making of a banjo than I had in 3 months, but I now actually will own one of the famous Nechville banjoes. These guys are the best. Customer service like they perform, has unfortunately become a thing of the past, but this group has managed to raise the bar to a new height. My compliments and appreciation go to them all. |

First time with Thomann, a bit worried after reading one or two bad reviews but have to say they were very good. Great price for my RK025BR banjo, well packaged and delivered in 3 days from Germany to Stockport,UK. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.Only reason I didn't give a ten score, is because when I rang to enquire as to availability, the person in the guitar/banjo department wasn't much help. |

Bought a Yates RS from jdm and had a wonderful experience. Tom went out of his way to make me comfortable with purchase and great set up. Packaging was great and condition of banjo accurate when arrived. Tom went extra mile by calling to see how I liked the Yates a couple days after I got it. Highly recommend and will buy again from them. |

well it looks like I've had exactly the same experience as Alasdair G, only on mine there were more issues than I was prepared to take so I sent it back. It appears from my experience this seller sends out substandard goods and expects you to keep them. Once again a what do you expect for the money attitude and a refusal to accept there was anything wrong to avoid paying postal costs. Never again. I DO NOT recommend this store. Enough said. I have rated a 1 as there is no option for 0 |

Recently ordered my first banjo (Recording King RK-35) from Banjo.com. I decided to use Banjo.com based on the stellar reviews from the members of BanjoHangout.org. Had a minor issue with my initial shipment, contacted their support and Mark Bramlett immediately reached out to me directly and worked with me to resolve the issue. I am fortunate to live within driving distance of their store. They are as nice in person - even better I think - as they are on the phone. Super helpful. I'd have to stay up late thinking and lie like a rug to say anything bad about them. |

I recently purchased a Rover RM-75 mandolin at Instrument Alley. I was leery because I had read some negative reviews about the site, so I sent them an email and got in touch with Ben. He was extremely communicative and my order was shipped in a day. I couldn't find anywhere that came close to the price I got at Instrument Alley. Ben also upgraded the case that came with my mandolin for free and included a free strap. Great value (not to mention they don't charge sales tax). I would recommend buying an instrument from Instrument Alley to anyone. |

Bought three banjos and one of them was from Janet Davis Music. They were the only ones within a reasonable distance that had a Deering Eagle II in stock and ready to ship. Other shops were out of them; were unprofessional; or, would only do an in store pickup. Apart from a problem with getting an email address correct the service was pleasant and helpful. Talking with the staff on the phone made things easier. The banjo arrrived well packed and cushioned with no blemmishes. All that was necessary was to tune it. To their credit the staff did respond quickly on a follow up email to them after the package arrived. No problem with the idea of doing business again with them. |

It is hard to give just one score on this so I will break it down based on my experiences both via internet orders and in person Customer Service in person . I would say is inconsistent I can give it a (5). I have been treated with kindness, neglect, and down right rudeness all in one visit. Most of the sales staff is quite good. However, they do have at least one employee who actually cost them quite a sale on my last visit being completely rude to me and everyone else as it approached closing time. I will spare the details. Follow up. Excellent I give it a (10). If you have an issue and let them know. The Owner and Managers do get involved to attempt to rectify the issue. Follow Through. Inconsistent to good. I give it a (7). Its my experience that most have followed through with what they say and what you request. However on my recent transaction I requested information on two different banjos and got no response back from them so I ended up buying elsewhere. Instrument set up (10) Based upon what I have played in the store and have bought they know what they are doing when setting up a banjo. Website I give a (10). They actually have one of the better sites I have found. Its easy to use and has been accurate for my needs. Delivery (10) The order fill and shipping times have been excellent.
Summary. I do think this is a decent place to do business. They do have some inconsistencies on the sales floor and I hope they get or have gotten those worked out. Customer Service and follow through are extremely important to me as they require human interaction. If you know this going in and scout the salespeople you should have a good experience. They also have a better instrument selection than most. I have tried to give an accurate score based up my experiences. I hope that an accurate review is a helpful tool for both buyers and sellers. |

I have dealth with several on line music shops BUT the one that has served me the VERY BEST is Banjo.com. I purchased my Banjo from them and was very happy with their service. I just recetly purchased an accessory item from them and there was a problem with the product when received. Banjo.com was GERAT in resolving the problem FASTand helped me with great professional service. From now on I shall only use BANJO.COM for all my Musical needs! THANK YOU John Drummond |

I ordered a Deering before I read these reviews and I was worried. Although it took 5 months from date of order to delivery, (even though the website stated that the Deering was "in stock"), I saved between $600.00 and $1,000.00 depending on store. Ben answered every email and did not charge my card until banjo was sent. A long wait but well worth it. |

I am sorry to say that: I have not yet bought an instrument from these fine, knowledgable folks but I hope to change that. They have a huge inventory and are great to deal with. I first was recommended to shop there by Alan Hart and he was right. I get all my strings there. |

I ordered an Earl Scruggs banjo from Morgan Music, it was shipped on Monday I received it on Friday in perfect condition. Played a gig on Sunday, it is the best banjo I've ever had and the band noticed the difference in tonal quality. MORGAN MUSIC you're my hero! |
