This is Balsam Range Bluegrass Band from NC performing in Asheville at Shinding on the Green fundraiser. The banjo player is Marc Pruett that played for Ricky Scaggs. He's also a friend of Tomcat's here on BHO. I'm posting this for Tomcat.

Marc played at my wedding & he's an amazing player. There is a new place in Asheville NC called "The Fiddlin' Pig" that has Balsam Range on stage quite often. It's my new favorite hang out!

Marc was at a banjo workshop at IBMA last month. My first time to really be around him and what a CLASS guy. He spotted Bill Keith in the back of the room and brought him up for an amazing few minutes of Bill talking about tab and meeting Earl...and then he ripped off Sailor's Hornpipe without his picks. Thanks Marc!
