Justin,
That was an old piece of curly hard rock maple that I had had since about 1979. I actually brought the wood from Wabash, IN to Alaska in 1984 than here to ME in 2001. I thought it would make for a hard sound, especially with the MOP nut and pip that the customer asked me to use, but it sounded great. Hope you are enjoying your banjo. Sheila and I just got back from North Carolina about 1:30 this morning...Bill

I bet it did Bill!! Right on, yes I most certainly am enjoying my new five! Playin the fire out of it and can't put it down haha! Hope Shelia and you had a great trip! Our snow is coming down now, from 4 feet to about 2 and 1/2 feet spring is coming I'd say... Justin
