Somebody saber-sawed a hole in this puppy, and put a resonator cone assembly in there. No tower, so he (guessing no woman could be that cruel) put two drywall screws through the back, into a spacer block, and a couple of sheet metal screws through the bottom of the cone, to hold it to the spacer.

Oh okay. When I first saw the picture I thought maybe you had found a donor for a solid sitka spruce resonator for another banjo project.
