Celtic knot design

Posted 5/19/2012 7:18:31 PM

A beautiful Celtic design made for a customer in Staten Island, New York. The banjo is the wonderful and powerful Gibson Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe.

This absolutely wonderful. Is this pen and ink or acrylic? How do you protect the design from wear? I am in awe.

Thank you, glad you like it. I don't have one, but I love Gibson banjos, so it's nice to know that one of my heads is being used on one of them. The design is worked on computer and it's all done by equipment and selected materials, using a method that I developed for the purpose, after painting my own banjo heads for a few years. The design is protected because it is done on the underside of a clear head, therefore the design is only damaged after the banjo head itself is damaged.
