The Deering Goodtime 2 is my 1st (and only banjo) too. I got it when I got back from the war in Iraq in 2003.

I don`t have it any more because I switched from Bluegrass at clawhammer. I still have a Goodtime but this one`s an open back. I love them.

Hi Dan, Its the no-name I bought from Ebay for 216. I love it. Its one of the brightest banjos I`ve heard and a pleasure to play. The man I bought it from said that it had belonged to his uncle and he thought he had made it from parts he had bought. He didn`t seem to know very much about banjos. He should have got more for it. It even has a whire ladye tone ring. I was very lucky.
Take care,

Dan, that should have been 216 pounds and the whire ladye should have been white ladye. I think my brain has gone on holiday. It`s that time of the year.
