Arkansas Traveller. Not much more to say really. It's a pretty well known tune.

Learned this straight from Dwight Diller (not in person). I first heard it on his Jericho Road CD.

My version of Cripple Creek. Recorded in Garageband. I played both banjo parts and the guitar part. The bass was a program instrument. Clawhammer intro, pickin' finish! I'm no engineer so it's straight into the mic with no adjustments.

A beautifully written Americana tune, 'Dixie Banner' is one of my all time favourites. It appears on Tony Ellis' album of the same name. Double C tuning (gCGCD - capoed at 2nd). Played on my NEAT custom walnut.

My version of Down The River, Oh Yes. I heard this played by the late Bert Garvin of Flatwoods, KY on the Kentucky Old Time Banjo CD. Bert's original recording inspired my custom walnut banjo.

The first part of Down The Road played on my 2012 custom Walnut built by Frank and Ricky Neat. I haven't worked out a 2nd part I'm happy with yet. I do like Steve Huber's version on his website (Truetone samples) so I might do something similar.

A quick version of Eight More Miles to try to demonstrate my new banjo's tone. Didn't really capture very well but here it is.

A version of Little Brown Jug as played by the late Morgan Sexton. I've played this on my Neat Custom and I mucked up the ending! Oh well.

One of the nicest banjo tunes I've ever heard. Probably my favourite. It's in the beautiful deep tuning of gGDGB. I heard it on Dwight Diller's "Just Banjo '99" about 3 years ago and have wanted to learn it ever since. I finally got round to it about two weeks ago. A little weak in some points, but I've only really had a good grasp of it for the last two days prior to this recording.

I worked this out myself from hearing the song on the soundtrack to Ken Burns' documentary "Lewis and Clark". Sacagawea was the Native American girl who joined them on their expedition. She is also referenced in the film "Night at The Museum" with Ben Stiller.

This one I worked out by watching Dwight Diller on his 'Just Rhythm' DVD. The tuning was on the back cover, fDGCD

Two tunes in F tuning stuck together. Learned these from hearing Ron Lunceford playing them on one of his CD's.

Nice tune in a nice Low D tuning. Sourced mainly from Dwight Diller but I've heard a few versions.

Another one from Dwight Diller. One of my all time favourite banjo tunes.
