I am quite proud of this banjo break because it is in the Key of "C" with no capo.
This was a challenge to make it sound like an authentic blugrass break given the more difficult key (for me anyway). The "F" in this break does not include the high "G" string (I am proud of that !). It is a combination on a foward roll & the "Foggy Mountain" roll. Also, I have made the Bass to have a more of a jazz feel. I did this to take it out of a pure bluegrass context; just to add a bit of spice. (Used "Audacity" software to multitrack myself). Sorry for the banjo tone, but I can't seem to improve the recording of my banjo. Any suggestions would be appreciated !.I would like to thank Alan Munde for the idea of the "descending" "C" lick. I would also like to thank "my Glory", who is also, the "Lifter of my head", and a "Shield to me".
