Thought Id take a shot at this one for the TOTW in my almost clawhammer. Playing it in key of D but in G tuning, starting up the neck, head down, then finish back up.

It's a pretty version. I'm glad you told us it was clawhammer. It has such a full sound and not a bum-tiddy feeling that I couldn't tell.

Thanks Janet and Joel. Yes Janet, my frailing doesn't really fit the standard definition of clawhammer. It's got a bit of up-brushing or up-picking but it's what I somehow naturally developed before I ever heard of the term clawhammer or saw it performed. When I try to get the bum diddy going it doesn't last long and devolves into what I know, so I call it "almost" clawhammer, or ~CH for short. Works for me, and since you and Joel were kind enough to comment positively, I guess it worked for you on at least this tune.

Geezer, that's a really nice rendition. Really relaxed and (as others have said) a nice full sound. Liking that a lot, mate - keep up the almost Clawhammer!

Thanks, Skoobee. Just had a listen to your version. Also very nice and you got it in long before the TOTW!
