This one's for Jim, whose playing is inimitable, but he's glad to have us join in!

I am really liking this tune. Very nice rendition Janet. If you don't mind the questions, are you clawing it of finger picking, and, what tuning are you in?

I'm in open G. I used to claw this in double D and learned it first from a tab, but changed to picking it years later without re-tuning or using a capo. I use chordal postions. It's kind of a long story. It's a beautiful tune and is, or was, common in jams.

Very nice rendition. Your melody of the tune is spot on. That's one of my favorites to fiddle. Usually don't play it on the banjo but you did a fine job.

Very nice, Janet. You (& Jim Reed) inspired me to take a shot at this.

Another tune that seems perfect for your refined style... lovely.

Thanks everyone. It's sure fun to hear all the versions people are posting, from melodic, to rag, to clawhammer. "Right on 105"--is that the age I'll be one day, John? I'm more than half-way there, but that leaves a lot of picking time.
