Thanks! No uke. I think you're hearing Kit's mandolin strumming; his teacher has been Mike Compton, who studies Monroe and believes in using lots of strings. In old time music chopping isn't used as it is for bluegrass, but they'll use more strumming, tremelo and downstrokes. |
