There's a mysterious sound to this tune, as if crossing those mountains wasn't an easy or safe thing to do. I enjoyed figuring it out with the melodic style, and then chordally.

It's in G minor. I learned it by listening to Alan O'Bryant's version (Nashville Bluegrass Band). |
