Here's a good tune. It's done in an oldtime way.
I played all the parts except the fiddle. That's my good friend Steve Durrwachter who is the fiddler in the band I play with. Used my 1933 Gibson Style 1 conversion.

Here is one I played around with. It's a little jumbled up and I played all the instruments. I got a little screwed up on my second fiddle break and played a tag into oblivion. After I recorded the banjo part I realized how slow it was and wish I had played it a notch or two faster but I was already too far along to start over. There is a guitar break Tony Rice personally taught me...well OK, I'm kidding ..Tony would want not part of that credit I can guarantee it. Hope you can get a kick out of it anyway. thanks

I wanted to record this banjo before I sold it. It sold to Cody Hill who lives in Indiana. It's an old Frankenstein banjo that has the old sound. I put the recording together in about 10 or 15 minutes so it's a little sloppy but still got it going pretty fast. I think about 172 -175 BPM.

A fiddle tune. I supplied some rather crummy banjo backup but it still sound OK.
My good friend supplied his fiddle skills. Of coarse the bad guitar and bass work is all me.

I played my all Metal banjo even the neck for this clip. Scrubbed it up good with my playing all the other instruments. Anyway this metal banjo sounds pretty darned good. There are some pics of it on my photos section. If I rode a Harley this would be the one I'd play at Bike Week....

It's a super tune with a bluesy sound. I added some of my own stuff too it so I hope I didn't mess it up too bad. I played all the instruments and recorded it in a rush. The fiddle sounds like a crack head is playin it and it got a little busy...

Recorded this tonight when My band was over. We did this just messing around and recorded it on One Microphone. The fidelity isn't the best but I like the hardcore bluegrass sound that this song brings forth.

About all the Pike County anyone can handle. Recorded this one a while back, when I owned a few Hubers. Trey (Major banjo now owns the Lexington) Randy Miller (Vintage Series), Danny Gabbard (Lancaster), Shane O'donnel (Kalamazoo). The Hubers are fine banjos.

This is one that Lee Marcus wrote. It's a great tune. I heard O.D's version a couple of weeks ago and I really liked it. Mine's a little rough as I am still trying to get some of those runs smooth. Some of Lee's phrasing is a little unorthodox for me but they really sound good. Thanks Lee for being so talented and providing us something cool to work on.
