Example of a stock ES Gibson with remo head and a tight settup..Featuring my student/pickin buddy Don on the banjo, with Judy on the bass... my guitar work, listen to the banjo timing closely.. lots of finger work here..

One of the Homeplace songs... Several different levels of muscians... listen to the comments and helping by the onlookers as they sing along... just noticed that there appears to be some drag(?) along the center of this one, mechanical problem, might have to delete? --update --Reconverted to mp 3, with a different program... better now..

Example of the "slower" bluegrass, but notice that the beat still remains on top... With the fiddle and mandolin on this song, the function of the banjo is somewhat limited, good example of laying back and just adding to the overal sound..(listen to the addition (singing?) by the onlooker that picked up in the last verse)

Time to hold your hat or grab your instrument... A melange of instruments playing one of the old standard Sally... A very good one to get the "feel", Get the fingers moving and the foot and you can jump in and grab with this one..It really comes together about the 1:50 mark..

First time ever trying this one, Judy singing and playing bass, everyone else just winging it.. came out allright though?? The ups and downs in volumn are again the fault of the sound man (me) I actually was turning knobs in the middle of my break, you'll hear it!! (note... the ringing overtones from the fifth string are not in the original recording, I must have had the gain to high?.. It showed up on the computer version.)

Eample of Dobro Picking... Some people have the opinion that the dobro players don't really pick.. Listen to this and see if Ken's really pickin or just sliding back and forth??
