A version of one of my favorite hymns, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. Includes - clawhammer banjo, drop D acoustic, mandolin, and dobro I played all of the instruments, but must confess that the upright was played through a keyboard using a fancy computer program. :)

Love this song! I let my wife listen to this after I recorded it and she said, "that song is terrible" - she then told me she was referring to the lyrics and not the playing. Song includes clawhammer banjo (standard G tuning down a half step in F#), guitar (tuned dadgad), and vocals

One of my favorite songs by Tim O'Brien from the Fiddler's Green album. This song appears to be originally recorded by Martha Hall in the late 1950's or early 1960's?? Recording includes accordion, guitars, and of course banjo.

This song was written and originally performed by Pete Huttlinger on the Appalachian Picking Society album. Pete's an incredible fingerstyle guitarist and writes some incredible melodies. This is my arrangement including piano, guitar, and banjo. Check out the Appalachian Picking Society Album if you never have. It's been one of my favorites for a long time.

Includes same banjo track as the original, but changed up the guitar parts. Laurence Diehl sent me a nice message with some suggestions on how to improve the overall sound and feel of the song. This is a result of that and I do think that I like this one better than the original. Thanks L!

First song I've written on the banjo, and hopefully not the last. Coming up with a name for it was harder than writing it. Writing it was one of those times where you don't sit down and intend to write a song. You just start playing, and realize that you are writing a song, and it actually sounds half decent. I recorded the "A' part on my phone that night, and came home and wrote a "B" part the next day. I named it Sitting by the Riverside, because it's one of my favorite things to do when visiting the mountains. Particularly, I love to set up a tent next to the Davidson river and camp out for a couple of nights with a nice fire. I'd be honored if you left a comment and let me know what you think about it!

I originally heard this song by Dry Branch Fire Squad, and this version is very similar, with a little bit different words that are more true to original John Prine version. My wife is singing, and I am playing banjo, and her singing is obviously far superior to my banjo playing.
