Just trying to get back into recording... this is a two banjo duet, one, panned to the left, played in open tuning (dCDGD) the other, panned to the right, in standard G tuning. A bit messy in places, but when it comes together it's pretty nice. Headphones make it especially neat when it syncs tightly (but a bit dizzying when it falls out!).

Here is just the open tuned version. I'm playing a Fielding custom Whyte Laydie banjo, tuned dCDGD.

I'm not really very brave, and I'm certainly much more of a city slicker, but this is a fun tune. It's me, my A-scale Lee in double D, my Thornburg gourd in dADF#A, and my voice that apparently isn't real comfortable with the key of D...

just another older recording of me goofing off with C.o.H. in different tunings. This one, if I'm not much mistaken, is in eBEBD.

Very much a work in process, this is one of my favorite tunes. I had heard it played, but the version I learned it from was actually titled Good Axe Elve, and was performed by Brad Leftwich. I'm playing a custom Ramsey Electric tuned to double D.

Learned this from the fiddling of Erynn Marshall. It's rough, but I'm a beginner on the fiddle so cut me some slack!

This is a band my friends and I just formed named The Denver Broncos. I'm playing tenor, which is new to me, but it had to be done.

Full name: Old Yeller Dog Came Trottin Through the Meetinghouse. Learned from the fiddling of Rayna Gellert. Key of F, banjo tuned fCFCD. Played on a custom Will Fielding banjo with Whyte Laydie tonering. There is some guitar accompaniment but that came out kind of quiet in the recording... it's also me on guitar.

Just noodling around with this chesnut on my Wunderlich mistrel banjo somewhere south of G. Lost my condenser mic... so this was done in one take with an SM57. Hardly ideal for the task and hand, so apologies if the balance isn't great.

I could hear this version in my noggin but it took me awhile to get my fingers to go along with it. It's still a work in process, but hopefully a little bit enjoyable as it stands. Tuned to A modal, played on a Lee Custom Whyte Laydie named Trogdor.
