before that i was never really interested in OT/bluegrass, and i had just returned from the land of my forefathers, Sumter, SC, and learned a lot about my fiddle and banjo playing family (dinkins and webb), which sparked an interest in this music. i am very thankful i made the trip, because i might not be playing the banjo right now if i hadn't.
