give me the banjo!

| So I work second shift in a titanium plant (4-12). When I got home tonight I sat down with my banjo and paged through my old time festival tunes tab book to pick out a new tune. I picked Black Eyed Susie and was just getting the hang of it being somewhat of a quicker tune. This whole time I had PBS on the tele, cause later at night they play these awesome nature programs which I am a sucker for, when the goat rodeo sessions came on! So... Distraction #1. Just long enough to lose my ear for Black Eyed Suzie :( luckily it came back soon as I played the first few notes whew! Distraction #2, next up was give me the banjo, narrated by Steve Martin! At this point I'm at the top of my lungs woohoo! What a great program! If you have not seen this one you have to. It was fantastic covering all history of the banjo in America. Needless to say I stayed up till 4:30 glued to the screen with no commercial interruption. |
